Angela Davis

Seek out this athlete's healthy downtown haunts.

Former pro runner Angela Davis is a true city girl: she and her family live in a downtown loft, and she walks almost everywhere, including to work at YAS's newest location. Here, the fit urbanite shares her neighborhood finds:

  • Visit Simply Salad. Chop, chop.

    Learn to love The Hipster.

"When I'm done with class at YAS, I walk two doors down to Simply Salad. I normally get the The Hipster with grilled chicken, goat cheese, dried cherries, walnuts and apples." (See the full menu here.

  • Get your veggies at Tiara Cafe.

    Eat like a queen.

"There's a great restaurant in the fashion district called Tiara Café. You can go to the sample sales and then eat here. The food is fresh and heathy, and the menu is always changing."

  • Explore two acres of park in the city.

    Have a Grand time.

"My kids are definitely urban babies. We walk everywhere--to the museums, to the grocery store, the library. If it's a nice day, Grand Hope Park is right nearby."

  • Get coiffed at this downtown spot.

    Be a perfect 11.

"I go to Jessica at Salon Eleven, which is just across the street from me. Their deep conditioning treatments are amazing."
