Embrace the holidays with these stress-less tips.

We talked to the pros and got their best dos and don'ts for a relaxing, stay-calm season.

Do take 15. "When invited to an event or asked to do something, tell the person you'll get back to them, and then take at least 15 minutes to really think about whether you want to do this, and if you actually have the time," suggests life coach Diana Fletcher.

Don't break the bank. "Before shopping, decide on a budget and stick to it," says social worker Maribel Quiala. "If you don't, you could feel anxious for months afterwards as you struggle to pay off the debt."

Do inhale. Researchers found that frankincense contains a compound that may help reduce depression and anxiety, says psychologist Joseph Cilona. Find it in this Lush soap or get the essential oil at your local health food store.

Don't have a family feud. Practice "right speech," says David Simon, M.D., co-founder of the Chopra Center. "Before you speak, ask yourself these three questions: Is what I am about to say true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?"

So when your mother says, "Your hair looks so much better than it did at Thanksgiving," you can just smile and say, "Thank you."
