Mat About You
Get a stress-busting acupressure session anytime, anywhere.
When we heard the Yantra Mat was all the rage in Europe, we giggled. It looks like a yoga mat, but with a big difference: One side is covered in 210 plastic spiked "flowers" to simulate an acupressure session (think: bed of nails). In fact, the medium mat ($69) boasts a whopping 8,820 pressure points. Fans claim it helps them relieve stress, snooze better, get rid of headaches and more.
But when we found out we had to test the Yantra Mat, we yelped.
We were skeptical--and scared. The first go-round, we could only lay down on it for a few minutes. (Yes, it's uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it.) The next day, we unfurled it on the couch. This time, we used it for 20 minutes and even attempted a few different positions. As the acupressure started to work its magic and boosted our circulation, we felt our tense muscles relax and get warmer. To our surprise, we even dozed off for a few minutes. We were refreshed and focused for the rest of the afternoon. (Psst...we're leaning against it right now.)
