These are the trends you have to try.
This weekend, your intrepid editors ate their way through Natural Products Expo West, the world's largest natural and organic trade show. (It's a hard job, but someone has to do it.) Some stuff was ehh, other items were good, but we saved the very best for our readers. Take a bite out of the latest and greatest versions of your favorite foods.
THE NEXT CLEANSE: Kaeng Raeng
Tired of spicy lemonade? This vegan, gluten-free and caffeine-free cleanse packs fruit and probiotics to jump-start weight loss. Mix a packet of powder with water, milk or yogurt at mealtime; you can eat as many raw fruits and veggies as you like. Order it here.
THE NEXT BREAKFAST BREAKTHROUGH: CalNaturale Svelte
These grab-and-go organic, soy protein drinks have chipper sayings on the outside (pictured), but it's the creamy flavors inside that will make you grin. One hefty serving contains 260 calories, 8 grams of heart-smart fiber and 35% of your daily quota of calcium. They come in four un-fake flavors. (We liked cappuccino best.) Buy it here.
THE NEXT TEA: Pukka
This award-winning organic Ayurvedic line of herbal teas and natural remedies started in the UK, but is now available across the pond. The company offers teas to hone your focus, teas to help you relax and even a floral "love tea" with rose, chamomile and lavender to lift your spirits. Get 'em here.
THE NEXT SWEETENER: Honey
Hey, sweetie! Honey is making a comeback. Studies show that honey is low on the glycemic index to give you sustained energy. (It's also rich in antioxidants.) Plop Honibe Honey Drops into tea instead of sugar cubes or get stuck on Honey Bee Stinger mini protein bars for an anytime snack.
That's the buzz.
