Vital Tested: Shrinky-Slinky Coffee
This treatment could help you slip into something more comfortably.
When we heard about Green Coffee Body Sculpting, we had to try it. Exclusive to The Organic Pharmacy, the all-natural beauty shop from England, the treatment was purportedly causing pandemonium across the pond. "It shrinks inches off your thighs and belly!" we heard. Our experience:
Brush-off. Dry brushing the skin helps move fluids through the body (possibly improving cellulite), and exfoliates.
Spice rub. Massage therapist Silvana rubbed our legs with a hot mitt of chili oil, said to be a cellulite-melter. The massage, which concentrates on legs, back and belly, was soothing.
Coffee cream. A cool goo--the green coffee--was applied to all areas we'd like to reduce, then covered in towels and allowed to soak in.
Shrink drink. We were given a half-cup of "Cellulite Tincture" to encourage detoxing. It was so bitter that we sipped only half.
Five treatments are said to be optimal, and though we didn't notice a dramatic difference after our one treatment, we did feel intensely relaxed and perhaps lighter.
That's not just coffee talk.
