Musical Taste

Send to a friend
Fans say they prefer these over ordinary pancakes.

This restaurant promises to "rock you" with its musically-inspired dishes.

Electric guitars on the walls..."C-Sharp" salad and "Chord B" burritos on the menu...inspired to sing for your supper?

Fans have been going wild over Los Feliz' music-themed Green Leaves Thai vegetarian restaurant for almost four years, and now, West Hollywood gets to join the chorus. The new "GL" keeps rock n' roll hours ('til 11PM nightly), and has some offbeat hits:

Gluten-free, wheat-free pancakes. Several diners who aren't veggie or gluten-free vow they're still devoted to these flapjacks (one calls them the best in LA).

Rock n' Roll Noodles. We love wide rice noodles, and these sizzle with tofu, veggies, chili and the house jalapeño sauce.

Cha Cha Pumpkin. The sautéed pumpkin, basil, cashews, sweet peppers and wild rice make us think of a healthy Thanksgiving.

Tip: Most mock meats contain some form of MSG. If you're super-sensitive, stick to the "meat"-free dishes.

Prices range from $2 for wild rice to $11.45 for a soy shrimp dinner, with most dishes running about $8.

That's music to our ears.
