Charity Begins at Om
Pay what you can at this donation-based studio.
What began as a path toward mind-body well-being and spiritual enlightenment has clearly become a big business--complete with celeb teachers and "it" apparel.
And while we love our Lucy's Vinyasa Power Capri, it's sort of refreshing to find a yoga studio that eschews trendiness.
Enter Yoga to the People, a truly laid-back, unpretentious spot where classes are donation-based. This means yogis on a budget who like power vinyasa don't have to count their pennies to practice three or four times a week.
If you're a fan of hot yoga, don't sweat it. At YTTP's newer 27th St. studio, you pay only $7. (Added bonus: this location has showers.)
And good news for Brooklynites: While the details are still hush-hush, YTTP is coming to your 'hood in December.
We say, power to the people!
