Advertising Sales Coordinator

VitalJuice.com, the leading women's healthy living daily email, has an immediate opening for an advertising sales coordinator. This role requires an understanding of the online advertising industry, a strong attention to detail and a passion for health and wellness to successfully grow with a fun, dynamic, and creative team.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage the sales cycle from start to finish (prospecting, identifying contacts, creating proposals, generating Insertion Orders, securing advertiser collateral, inputting collateral in the admin, and results reporting).
  • Support the Director of Ad Sales with outbound sales campaigns to increase awareness of VitalJuice.com among the advertising community (agencies & client-direct) to generate and grow new business.
  • Prospect and penetrate medium to large size organizations ("Top 2000" advertisers, major sub-brands and Advertising Agencies) to help secure RFP’s and advertising dollars.
  • Create persuasive sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and VitalJuice.com marketing solutions.
  • Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions from the results.
  • Work to develop effective sales strategies and advertising sales proposals for continued site revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years media planning or 1 year of online sales experience with a top performance record.

Ad Sales Intern

Vital Juice is seeking an Ad Sales Intern to support our growing start-up while gaining hands-on experience with digital advertising sales methods. VJ internships are unpaid but structured to provide the intern relevant exposure to online sales strategy and execution, in addition to valuable networking opportunities with well-conscious influencers and business people in the fitness, wellness, nutrition and beauty sector. Vital Juice attempts to provide each intern with immediate, real-life experience that can be used later to find paid work. The Ad Sales Intern should be able to commit at least 10-15 hours per week (two – three days per week) working with Vital Juice for a period of at least three months.

The exact breadth of responsibilities and learning opportunities for the Ad Sales Intern may be customized, based on the applicant's professional requirements.
Typical responsibilities include:

  • Working with our Digital Sales Team to build and write custom advertising proposals for our national and local advertising clients.
  • Preparing pipeline reports for management to identify and make sense of pipeline trends.
  • Seeking out advertising opportunities online and recommending potential initiatives to the Digital Ad Sales Team.
  • General office assistance for the ad and marketing team.
  • Special projects as needed, such as panning and executed special events.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • High school degree required. Must be at least 18 years old. Vital Juice welcomes applications from interns who are either college interns (for credit or not) or currently unemployed professionals between jobs who are looking to make a career transition into this area.
  • Minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week (two – there days per week)
  • Excellent written and spoken communication.
  • Must have excellent computer skills. Proficiency with presentation, word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and independent work style.
  • Expert Googling capabilities and insatiable hunger for finding data online, digesting it, and making sense of it.
  • Passion for living a healthy life and knowledge of the wellness arena a plus.
